- 1. Promoters:
The promoter is OK Franchise, a division of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Limited, (hereinafter the “Promotor”).
- 2. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions:
- 2.1 By entering this Competition, all participants agree that they have read and
understood
these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these
Terms and
Conditions as interpreted by the Promotor, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and
binding.
- 2.2 The Promotor reserves the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify or
change these Terms and Conditions and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this
Competition
and any prizes or any aspect thereof without notice at any time for any reason which the Promotors
reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever.
- 2.3 Neither the Promoter, its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated
companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage,
whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be
suffered by the participant.
- 2.4 All personal information of the participants will be processed by the Promoter
in
accordance with the Shoprite Group Data Privacy Statement found at:

- 3. Eligibility:
- 3.1 This promotional competition (“Competition”) is only open to permanent
residents
and citizens of the Republic of South Africa of the age of 18 (eighteen) years and older, living in
South Africa and in possession of a valid form of identification (Identity Document or Passport), a
lawful residency permit or proof of current address not older than 3 (three) months.
- 3.2 All participants must be natural persons. Legal entities cannot participate in
this Competition and no prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities.
- 3.3 Any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter,
the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors or any person who directly or indirectly
controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business
partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be
disqualified from receiving a prize.
- 4. Competition Period:
- 4.1 This Competition will start on 5 February 2025 (“start date”) and end on 4
May
2025 (“closing date”), both days inclusive.
- 4.2 The period from the Competition start date to closing date is referred to as the
(“Competition Period”).

4.3 No entries outside of the Competition period will be accepted.
- 5. Mechanics:
To enter the Competition, a participant must adhere to the following:
- 5.1 Purchase any participating product (“Annexure A - Participating product”) listed
below from any OK Liquor store (“Annexure B- Participating Stores”) in South Africa during the
Competition Period. A list of the participating products will also be available on www.okfoods.co.za
- 5.2 Purchase of the participating products from the participating stores must be
made during the Competition Period. Any purchases made before or after the Competition Period do not
qualify.
- 5.3 Participants will automatically be entered into the competition when they swipe
their OK Count On! card when purchasing the participating products during the Competition Period. An
automated SMS will only be sent once to confirm the first automatic entry. An SMS will not be sent
again throughout the Competition Period when entering.
- 5.4 Participants may also enter via SMS using their unique token number found on
their till slip to 41534. Alternatively, enter via USSD, by dialing the following number: *120*816*
{unique token} during the Competition Period. An automated SMS will be sent to confirm the entry,
standard SMS network rates do apply.
- 5.5 Participants may enter multiple times during the entire competition period
subject to each entry being linked to a new separate valid purchase of any participating product.
- 5.6 Participants must keep their till slip as proof of purchase.
- 5.7 Each entry will be considered final by the Promotors. Incomplete, inaccurate,
unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus
disqualified.
- 5.8 Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure
of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being
successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
- 5.9 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any potential winner at its
discretion,
should they:
- 5.9.1
Have won a prize in a competition conducted by the Promoter or its affiliated companies
during the last three (3) months before the winners of this Competition is drawn;
- 5.9.2
Act in a manner contrary to the spirit of the Competition, or if fraud or cheating is
suspected, including but not limited to the manipulation of code or falsification of data.
- 5.9.3
Fail to provide the required supporting documentation upon request by the Promoter.
- 5.9.4
Submit verification documentation that does not correspond to the data associated with their
OK
Count On! Profile.
- 5.10 No applications from agents, third parties, organized groups or applications
automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be
accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
- 6. Prize/s:
- 6.1 120 (One Hundred and Twenty) potential winners also stand a chance to win

(one) Stainless-Steel limited edition Cooler boxes (“Cooler Box Prize). Each Cooler Box is
valued at
R4 000.00 (Four Thousand Rand). The total cooler box prize value is R480 000.00 (Four
Hundred and
Eighty Thousand Rand).
- 6.2 3 (three) potential winners stand a chance to win 1 (one) Suzuki Jimny 5-door
1.5 GL 5MT vehicle (“Vehicle Prize”). Each vehicle is valued at R429 000.00 (Four Hundred and
Twenty-Nine Thousand Rand). The total vehicle prize value is R1 287 000.00 (One Million Two
Hundred and Eighty-Seven Thousand Rand).
- 6.3 Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or
otherwise.
- 6.4 In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable
endeavors to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
- 6.5 Prize visuals on any competition and/or promotional materials are for illustrative
purposes only;
- 6.6 Participants understand and agree that they may win a prize, but there is no
guarantee that they will win a prize.
- 6.7 Each winner will only be entitled to 1 (one) prize.

6.8 The Promotors shall not award a Prize to a winner if it is unlawful to supply
such Prize to the winner. In such instances, the winner shall immediately forfeit the Prize and be
disqualified.

6.9 The winners will not be entitled to payment, credit or otherwise in the event
that they do not receive or utilise the prize to the fullest extent possible. Any item or value
unused will be deemed waived by the winners.

6.10 The details of the prize will be entirely at the Promoter’s discretion – the
winners will not be entitled to choose their prize.

6.11 Prize specifications are subject to change, pending stock availability from the
manufacturer.

6.12 Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoters shall not be liable and
shall not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect or manufacturing faults or
defects, or damage or loss of the Prize.

6.13 Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to
the winner immediately.

6.14 The Prize does not include servicing, maintenance of the vehicle, petrol or
any additional enhancements for the vehicle after the Prize has been awarded.

6.15 The winners confirm that neither the Promoter nor the selling Dealership is
responsible to obtain trade in valuations, or negotiate such on their behalf. Registration and
licensing of the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the winner.

6.16 The Promoters and third-party service providers do not cover insurance for the
Prize and will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

6.17 The winners confirm that neither the Promoter nor the selling Dealership
is responsible to obtain trade in valuations, or negotiate such on their behalf.

6.18 Registration and licensing of the vehicle will be done by the Dealership.
- 7. Selection of the Winner:
- 7.1 Random draws will be conducted by the Promotors independent representative to select
prize winners in the following categories:

7.1.1 7.1.1 120 (One Hundred and Twenty) potential winners for
the limited-edition Stainless-Steel Cooler Boxes over a 12 (Twelve) week period from
Wednesday,
12 February 2025 until Wednesday, 30 April 2025, on the following dates:

- 7.1.2 Grand Prize selection of 3 (Three) potential winners for the
Suzuki Jimny 5-door 1.5 GL 5MT on Monday, 05 May 2025.
- 7.2 Potential winners will be required to undergo a verification process before they
will be
declared official winners of the competition.
- 7.3 The potential winners will be notified within 5 (five) working days after their
names
have been drawn.
- 7.4 Should there be no successful contact with the selected potential winner over the 5
(five) working day period, the Promoter reserves the right to proceed and select new backup
potential
winners.
- 7.5 Winners will be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five)
working days of the date of the confirmation by the Promoter, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity
form
(“Declaration”), valid form of identification (Namibian Identity Document or Passport), a lawful
residency permit or proof of current address, not older than 3 (three) months and a copy of their
Count
On! Card, only applicable to Loyalty Card Holders, to claim their Prize. A copy of their till slip
will
be required for SMS or USSD entries.
- 7.6 The Promoter’s decision in this Competition will be final and no correspondence will
be
entered into.
- 8. Delivery of Prizes:
- 8.1 Cooler Box Prize deliveries: Cooler Box prize will be delivered to the nearest
OK Store for the winner collection within 2 (two) weeks of the winner's documents being verified.
Your nearest OK Store will provide the winner with a date for the handover of the prize.
- 8.2 Suzuki Prize deliveries: Vehicle prizes will be delivered to the nearest OK
Store for the winner collection within 3 (three) weeks of the winner's documents being verified.
Your nearest OK Store will provide the winner with a date for the handover of the prize.
- 8.3 Any delay in delivery shall be communicated to the winner(s) to facilitate
appropriate arrangements.
- 8.4 Any expenses incurred by winner/s, other than the items listed in the prize will be
for the winner/s own account.
- 9. Promotional Material and Marketing Activities:
- 9.1 Winners waive their moral rights and grant the Promoter exclusive, unlimited,
perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in
all
media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the
participants in the submission of their competition entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and
edit
the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an indefinite period of time
and
in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the
Competition dispute or question such copyright and usage.
- 9.2 The Promoters may require the Winner to be identified, photographed, and published
in printed media, social media, social digital media channels, or to appear on radio and/or
television,
without any payment or other remuneration when accepting the Prize. The Winner will be given the
opportunity to decline to the publication of their image and to participate in the Promoters’
marketing
materials in so far as it relates to the Competition.
- 9.3 Winners waive any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of
compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry.
- 9.4 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated
with any social media channel and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information
to
the Promoter and its agents only and not to any social media channel.
