Terms and Conditions – Namibia

OK Megasave Ho-Ho Hilux (“Competition”)

The Promotional Competition has been approved by the Lotteries Board of Namibia

  1. 1.  Promoters:
    The promoter is OK Franchise, a trading division of Shoprite Namibia (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).

  2. 2.  Agreement to these Terms and Conditions:
    1. 2.1   By entering this Competition, all participants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
    2. 2.2   The Promoter reserves the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify or change these Terms and Conditions and any Prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any Prizes or any aspect thereof without notice at any time for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever.
    3. 2.3   Neither the Promoter, its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
    4. 2.4   All personal information of the participants will be processed by the Promoter in accordance with the Shoprite Group Data Privacy Statement found at: https://www.shopriteholdings.co.za/content/dam/shp/docs/shp-data-privacy.pdf

  3. 3.  Eligibility:
    1. 3.1   This Competition is only open to permanent residents and citizens in Namibia, of the age of 18 (eighteen) years and older, living in Namibia and in possession of a valid form of identification (Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit and proof of current address not older than 3 (three) months.
    2. 3.2   All participants must be natural persons. Legal entities cannot participate in this Competition and no Prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities.
    3. 3.3   Any director, member, partner, employee, franchisee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be disqualified from receiving a Prize.

  4. 4.  Competition Period:
    1. 4.1   This Competition will start on Monday, 20 October 2025 (“start date”) and end on Sunday, 4 January 2026 (“closing date”), both days inclusive.
    2. 4.2   The period from the Competition start date to closing date is referred to as the (“Competition Period”).
    3. 4.3   No entries outside of the Competition Period will be accepted.

  5. 5.  Prize/s:
    1. 5.1  A total of 1 (one) winner will be drawn:
      1. 5.1.1   1 (one) Participant stands a chance to win a Toyota Hilux Single Cab 2.0 VVTi S A/C 5MT (A6C) (“Prize”). The Prize is valued at approximately N$372 000 (Three Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Namibian Dollars) only.
    2. 5.2   The details of the Prize, including but not limited to the colour, model etc. will be entirely at the Promoter’s discretion – the winner will not be entitled to choose their Prize.
    3. 5.3   Prize specifications are subject to change, pending stock availability from the manufacturer;
    4. 5.4   Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise.
    5. 5.5   In the event that the Prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute Prizes of equal value.
    6. 5.6   Prize visuals on any Competition and/or promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only;
    7. 5.7   Participants understand and agree that they may win a Prize, but there is no guarantee that they will win a Prize.
    8. 5.8   The winner will only be entitled to 1 (one) Prize.
    9. 5.9   The Promoters shall not award a Prize to a winner if it is unlawful to supply such Prize to the winner. In such instances, the winner shall immediately forfeit the Prize and be disqualified.
    10. 5.10   Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoters shall not be liable and shall not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect or manufacturing faults, recalls, damage or loss of the Prize;
    11. 5.11   The Prize does not include servicing, maintenance of the vehicle, petrol, or any additional enhancements for the vehicle after the Prize has been awarded.
    12. 5.12   The Promoter does not cover insurance for the Prize and the winner will be required to provide proof of motor vehicle insurance cover on the Prize, prior to handover.
    13. 5.13   The winner confirms that neither the Promoter nor the selling Dealership is responsible to obtain trade in valuations, or negotiate such on their behalf. Registration and licensing of the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the winner.
    14. 5.14   The winner will not be entitled to payment, credit or otherwise in the event that they do not receive or utilise the Prize to the fullest extent possible. Any item or value unused will be deemed waived by the winner.
    15. 5.15   Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner immediately.
    16. 5.16   The judge's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  6. 6.  Mechanics
    To enter the Competition, a participant must adhere to the following:
    1. 6.1   Purchase any 3 (three) participating products, in a single transaction, as listed in Annexure “A” (Participating Products") attached hereto, from any participating OK Megasave as listed in Annexure “B” (“Participating Stores”) attached hereto, in Namibia during the Competition Period. This information will also be available at www.okfoods.co.za
    2. 6.2   By sending the unique token number found on their till slip, with each qualifying purchase as per clause 6.1 above, via SMS to 2222. Alternatively, enter via USSD, by dialling the following number: *142*943* {unique token on the till slip} during the Competition Period. An automated SMS will be sent to confirm the entry, standard SMS network rates do apply.
    3. 6.3   Any purchases made before or after the Competition Period do not qualify.
    4. 6.4   Swipe their OK Count On! Card when purchasing the Participating Products during the Competition Period.
    5. 6.5   Participants will automatically be entered into the Competition when they swipe their OK Count On! Card when purchasing any 3 (three) of the Participating Products in a single transaction during the Competition Period. An SMS will not be sent again throughout the Competition Period when entering.
    6. 6.6   Participants must keep their till slip as proof of purchase and ensure that their correct contact details are linked to their OK Count On! Profile as this will be a required document for verification steps in clause 7.5 below.
    7. 6.7   Participants may enter multiple times during the entire Competition Period subject to each entry being linked to a new separate, valid purchase of any 3 (three) Participating Products in a single transaction.
    8. 6.8   Each entry will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified.
    9. 6.9   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for vouchers or entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
    10. 6.10   The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any potential winner at its sole discretion, should the potential winner:
      1. 6.10.1   Have won a Prize in a Competition conducted by the Promoter or its affiliated companies during the last three (3) months before the winner of this Competition is drawn;
      2. 6.10.2   Act in a manner contrary to the spirit of the Competition, or if fraud or cheating is suspected, including but not limited to the manipulation of code or falsification of data.
      3. 6.10.3   Fail to provide the required supporting documentation upon request by the Promoter.
      4. 6.10.4   Submit verification documentation that does not correspond to the data associated with their OK Count On! Profile.
      5. 6.10.5   Be deceased at the time of verification as stated in clause 7 below. In such a case, the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternative eligible winner drawn in accordance with clause 7.4. No claims may be made by the deceased's estate, family, or representatives.
    11. 6.11   No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

  7. 7.  Selection of the Winner:
    1. 7.1   Winner selection from all qualifying entries received from all participating stores will be conducted by a random draw on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to select a total of 1 (one) winner (“Winner”) for the Prize. 1 (one) winner will be selected for the Toyota Hilux as described in paragraph 5 above in these Terms and Conditions.
    2. 7.2   The potential winner will be notified by the Promoter's Regional Office, within 5 (five) working days after the draw has taken place.
    3. 7.3   Should there be no successful contact with the selected potential winner within a 72 (Seventy Two) hour period from the draw date, the Promoter reserves the right to proceed and select new backup potential winners.
    4. 7.4   The potential winner will be required to pass a verification process before they will be declared eligible to receive a Prize.
    5. 7.5   If the verification is successful, the potential winner will be declared official winner and confirmation will be sent by the Promoter. In addition, the winner will be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five) working days of the date of the confirmation is sent, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity form (“Declaration”) to claim their Prize and a Copy of their ID to fulfil any such requirements as determined by the Promoters.
    6. 7.6   If a potential winner fails the verification process for whatsoever reason or a winner fails to send the completed Declaration and Copy of ID within the timeline communicated, such person will be disqualified and will not receive a Prize and a replacement draw and winner will take place.
    7. 7.7   The Promoter’s decision in this Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  8. 8.  Claiming of Prizes:
    1. 8.1   Once the Promoter is ready to hand over the Prize, the winner will be notified of the specified Prize details and they will need to travel to the selected store which they entered the Competition to receive the Prize or nearest local dealerships as directed by the Promoter. Travel and all other expenses are for the winner’s account.
    2. 8.2   Any Prize that is not delivered or collected within 3 (three) weeks of the Prize draw, will be deemed forfeited in the Promoter’s sole discretion.

  9. 9.  Promotional Material and Marketing Activities:
    1. 9.1   The winner waives their moral rights and grants the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their Competition entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an indefinite period of time and in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the Competition dispute or question such copyright and usage.
    2. 9.2   The winner waives any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry.
    3. 9.3   This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media channel and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to any social media channel.

  10. 10.  Data Privacy:
    1. 10.1   All personal information of the participants will be processed by the Promoter in accordance with the Shoprite Group Data Privacy Statement found at: https://www.shopriteholdings.co.za/content/dam/shp/docs/shp-data-privacy.pdf.

  11. 11.  Details of the Competition:
