Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Make mushroom sauce on the braai in a few simple steps with this easy-peasy recipe. Ideal as a sauce for steaks or burgers grilled on the fire.
**Sauce serves 20 if only used as a burger topping
1 | Light the fire and enjoy a drink while you wait for your coals to form. |
2 | Melt butter into a sauce pot on medium-heat coals. |
3 | Add half the cream. |
4 | Whisk in the flour. |
5 | Add in the rest of the cream. |
6 | Add in chopped mushrooms, once the sauce has thickened. |
7 | Add in grated cheddar at the very end, whisking for one last time. |
8 | Remove from the fire and let it gently simmer, making sure there are no lumps. |
9 | Serve and enjoy! |
