The Blueberry G&T
The simple combination of gin, lime, and tonic water poured over ice is a classic for a reason. With The Blueberry G&T, we’ve taken the traditional gin and tonic and we’ve given it a wonderfully fruity twist with homemade blueberry simple syrup! Simply add the syrup, ice, Beefeater Gin, tonic water, a lime wedge and thyme sprig — you’ve got a well-balanced and flavourful cocktail that is perfect for sipping at any time of the year.
1 | In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring blueberries, sugar, and water to a simmer. |
2 | Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring often, until most blueberries have burst, about 5 minutes. |
3 | Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate until chilled. |
4 | Divide 2 tbsp. blueberry syrup into 2 glasses. |
5 | Top with ice. |
6 | Add Beefeater Gin and top with tonic water. |
7 | Add more blueberry syrup or tonic water to taste. |
8 | Garnish with a lime wedge and thyme sprig. |
9 | Cheers! |
Pro-tip:
The blueberry simple syrup can be made in advance and stored in your fridge for when you need it.
