Maize meal |
| 4 cups | Water |
| 2 tins | Chopped tomatoes |
| 1 | Onion, finely chopped |
| 1 | Garlic clove, crushed |
| 2 tbsps | Brown sugar |
| 2 | Chillies, seeded and chopped |
| 2 tbsps | Worcestershire sauce |
| Salt and pepper, to taste | |
| 1-2 packets | OK Choice boerewors |
Pap & Wors with Spicy Tomato Relish
This dish is as South African as you can get! A favourite staple for many people that won’t break the bank!
| 1 | Preheat the oven to 190°C. |
| 2 | Take a knob of butter and use this to grease a pie dish |
| 3 | Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, then using an electric hand blender, beat for about 5 minutes. |
| 4 | Pour the pudding mixture into the greased pie dish. |
| 5 | Pop the pudding into the oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until cooked through. |
| 6 | Serve warm with loads of thick whipped cream or custard. Or both! |
