Promotional Offer and Competition Terms & Conditions 

Promoter: 

The promoter of the Promotion and the Competition is OK Franchise, a division of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Limited, Registration Number: 1929/001817/07 exclusively through its participating OK Liquor branded stores (hereinafter the “Promoter”). 

Terms and conditions of the Complete The Look competition (“Competition”):

  1. 1.   This Competition is open to all South African residents of 18 years and older, residing in South Africa, who are in possession of a valid identity document, passport or other documentary proof of South African residency. Any director, member, franchisee, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be disqualified from receiving a Prize.

  2. 2.   The Competition will only run on Facebook from 24 September 2025 to 7 December 2025 (“Campaign Period”). Any entries received outside the Campaign Period will not be considered.

  3. 3.  To enter the Competition, participants must, during the Campaign Period:
    1. 3.1  Like and follow the @OKLiquorSA page on Facebook; and
    2. 3.2  Like the relevant Competition post on the @OKLiquorSA Facebook page; and
    3. 3.3  Follow the instructions and the prompts on the relevant Competition post.
  4. 4.   There will be 110 (one hundred and ten) winners in total, who will each win an OK Liquor branded canvas apron and wooden spoon set (“Prize”), to value of R500 (five hundred Rand).

  5. 5.  10 (ten) preliminary winners will be randomly drawn each week during the Campaign Period, from qualifying entries received during the previous week. These draws will take place on the following dates:
    • 1 October 2025
    • 8 October 2025
    • 15 October 2025
    • 22 October 2025
    • 29 October 2025
    • 5 November 2025
    • 12 November 2025
    • 19 November 2025
    • 26 November 2025
    • 3 December 2025
    • 7 December 2025

  6. 6.   The Promoter’s representative will contact the preliminary winners via Facebook direct message (DM) within 2 (two) days of each draw, to request relevant information needed to verify if the preliminary winners are eligible to receive a Prize.

  7. 7.   If a preliminary winner does not provide the Promoter with all requested information within 2 (two) days after being requested to do so, they will be disqualified from winning a Prize and a new preliminary winner will be drawn in their place.

  8. 8.   The Promoter will contact the verified winners directly to arrange the details of when and at which OK Liquor store the winners must collect their Prizes. Winners must provide their valid proof of identification when they collect their Prizes. If a winner does not collect their Prize within 2 (two) weeks after request, their prize will be deemed forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.

  9. 9.   Participants understand and agree that there is no guarantee that they will win a Prize.

  10. 10.   Each verified winner will only be entitled to receive one Prize.

  11. 11.   The details of the Prizes will be entirely at the Promoter’s discretion – the winners will not be entitled to choose their Prize.

  12. 12.   By entering this Competition and as a condition to receive a Prize, participants:
    1. 12.1   Consent to the processing of their personal information by the Promoter and its service providers, insofar that it is necessary to give effect to the Competition, for example to view the entries, select and announce the winners publicly and arrange collection or delivery of the Prizes. Winners will be given the opportunity to consent to further processing of their personal information;
    2. 12.2   If requested to do so, sign an acknowledgment of receipt form and provide all relevant information requested by the Promoter’s representatives, including but not limited to the winner’s full names, and where applicable their ID numbers, contact details and delivery address;
    3. 12.3   Consent that their names be announced publicly by the Promoter on any platform that it deems fit, including but not limited to its social media pages;
    4. 12.4   Waive their moral rights and grant the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their Competition entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an indefinite period of time and in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the Competition or Promotion dispute or question such copyright and usage; and
    5. 12.5   Waive any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry.

  13. 13.   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, incomplete or delayed.

  14. 14.   The winners will not be entitled to payment, credit or to receive other items in the event that they do not want the Prize. Any unwanted Prize will be deemed waived by the winners. Prizes are not transferable, and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or other items.

  15. 15.   The Prizes are non-returnable, and the Promoter will not be liable for any product malfunction, defect or manufacturing faults, damage or loss of the Prize.

  16. 16.  The Promoter in its sole discretion is entitled to disqualify any winner:
    1. 16.1   Who has won a prize in a competition conducted by the Promoter during the last 3 months before the winners of this Competition is drawn; or
    2. 16.2   Who at any time does not act in accordance with the spirit of the Competition, or if  fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or falsifying of data.

  17. 17.   No entries from companies, agents, third parties, organised groups or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

  18. 18.   The Promoter is entitled to change or terminate the Competition and/or Prizes immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its sole discretion. In the event of such change or termination, participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter, its suppliers or agents.

  19. 19.   If any Prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable efforts to procure the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with another prize of a similar value.

  20. 20.   Neither the Promoter, nor its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated companies, nor any directors, representatives or their employees will be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever related to the Competition or Prizes, which may be suffered by the participant or anyone else.

  21. 21.   The Promoter’s decision regarding the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Participation in this Competition is regarded as an acceptance of, and an agreement to comply with these terms and conditions.

  22. 23.   Protecting participants’ personal information is important to the Promoter. For more information, please refer to the data privacy statement on https://www.shopriteholdings.co.za.

  23. 24.   This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media channel.

Terms and conditions of the Stir up Big Savings with OK Liquor SA promotional offer (“the Promotion”):

  1. 1.   The Promotion will start on 24 September 2025 and end on 07 December 2025, or until it is cancelled by the Promoter, or until stock of the promotional items last, or until, whichever occurs first (“Promotional Period”).

  2. 2.   The Promotion is available during the Promotional Period to participants that are OK Count On! members, in possession of activated OK Count On! membership cards, who purchase a qualifying product (“Qualifying Product”) listed in Annexure “A” hereto during the Promotional Period at any of the participating OK Liquor retail outlets (“Participating Stores”) in South Africa; and swipe their OK Count On! membership card at the time of purchasing the Qualifying Product (the “Qualifying Transaction”).

  3. 3.   Participants must request a Promotion booklet when they visit a Participating Store, and will receive one Promotion sticker (“Sticker”) per Qualifying Transaction.

  4. 4.   For every Sticker booklet filled up with 10 (ten) Stickers and handed in at a Participating Store, a participant will pay only R200 (two hundred Rand) when they purchase an OK Liquor exclusive potjie set (“Potjie Set”) from that same Participating Store during the Promotional Period. Participants will be required to swipe their OK Count On! card when they purchase the Potjie Set.

  5. 5.   Each Potjie Set includes: 1 (one) colorful No. 1/4 (0.7 L) enamel potjie, 1 (one) potjie lid knob, 1 (one) 7.5cm x 21.5cm mini potjie cooker stand, 1 (one) 25cm x 36cm wooden cutting board and 1 (one) Via Manne Agter Die Potte recipe book (the OK Liquor sponsored series), to the total value of R 1,000 (one thousand Rand).

  6. 6.   A completed Sticker booklet is valid for the redemption of only one Potjie Set.

  7. 7.   Lost or stolen Stickers and booklets will not be replaced.

  8. 8.   Sticker booklets that do not contain the original Stickers, or that were amended, defaced, photocopied or damaged will not be considered for the redemption of a Potjie Set.

  9. 9.   Each Participating Store will only have 30 (thirty) Potjie Sets available for redemption.

  10. 10.   The Promotion, booklets, Stickers, Potjie Sets and colour of items are at all times subject to the stock availability and quantity limitations at Participating Stores, and the Promoter cannot and does not guarantee that there will be enough Potjie Sets available, or Potjie Sets in specific colours available for purchase. Access to the Promotion does not guarantee:
    1. 10.1   the availability or purchase of a Potjie Set; or
    2. 10.2   the availability or stock of Stickers or booklets.

  11. 11.   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for any direct or indirect losses, claims or damage in any way related to the Promotion or the Potjie Sets.

  12. 12.   Potjie Sets, booklets and Stickers are not transferrable, refundable or exchangeable. Unwanted booklets and Stickers must be declined at point of sale. Participants will not receive any discount, a replacement item or credit, if Stickers, booklets or Potjie Sets are out of stock.

  13. 13.   The Promoter in its sole discretion is entitled to cancel a Collectable allocation, if the Promoter finds or suspects that:
    1. 13.1   Fraud, dishonesty or cheating occurred, including without limitation, that a participant made use of the Promotion through the manipulation of code or falsifying of data; or
    2. 13.2   Participants are purchasing Qualifying Products to obtain Stickers, only to cancel those Qualifying Transactions or return the Qualifying Products purchased afterwards; or
    3. 13.3   If the Promoter’s technology systems are affected by technical errors.

  14. 14.   The Promoter is entitled to change or cancel the Promotion, or end the Promotional Period early at any time without notice to participants, if the Promoter deems it necessary in its sole discretion. In the event of such change or cancellation, participants will have no recourse against the Promoter, its suppliers or agents.

  15. 15.   Participants who access the Promotion agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

Heavy-Duty Apron And Wooden Spoon

  1. 1. Promoter:
    The promoter is OK Franchise, a division of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Limited, Registration Number: 1929/001817/07 (hereinafter the “Promoter”).

  2. 2. Promotion and Competition
    1. 2.1   2.1 Your Potjie Set (“Promotion”):
      1. 2.1.1   Purchase any participating product as listed in Annexure “A” (“Participating Products”) hereto from any of the selected OK Liquor stores as listed in Annexure “B” (“Participating Stores”) hereto in South Africa and swipe your OK Count On! Card during the Promotion Period and receive one promotional branded sticker (“Sticker”) per Participating Product purchased.
      2. 2.1.2   If you fill up a Sticker booklet with 10 (ten) Stickers, it will allow you to save up to 80% (“Promotional Prize”) when you purchase an OK Liquor exclusive potjie set (“Your Potjie Set”) as described in Annexure “C”, with a recipe book created with the recipes from Manne agter die Potte (the OK Liquor sponsored series on DStv’s VIA channel) with an estimated aggregate value of R 1 000 (one thousand rand).
      3. 2.1.3   The pictures in Annexure “C” are for illustrative purposes only.
      4. 2.1.4   A filled-up Sticker booklet is valid for the redemption of the Promotional Prize on the purchase of one Your Potjie Set only. Once this Sticker booklet is validly redeemed, the filled-up Sticker booklet must be handed to the cashier and cannot be used for further redemptions.
      5. 2.1.5   Lost or stolen Sticker booklets will not be replaced.
      6. 2.1.6   Sticker booklets that do not have the correct Stickers or were amended, defaced, photocopied or damaged will not be considered for the redemption of the Promotional Prize.
      7. 2.1.7   The collection of Stickers and the redemption of the Promotional Prize can only be done during 24 September 2025 to 7 December 2025, both days inclusive (“Promotional Period”). The collection of Stickers and redemption of the Promotional Prize will not be accepted outside of the Promotional Period.
      8. 2.1.8   Each Participating Store will only have 30 (thirty) Your Potjie Sets available for the Promotion.
      9. 2.1.9   An automated SMS will be sent only once and on the first purchase of any of the Participating Products during the Promotional Period, to confirm the first automatic entry. An SMS will not be sent again throughout the Promotional Period after the first entry.
      10. 2.1.10   Any purchases made before or after the Promotional Period do not qualify.
      11. 2.1.11   Participants must keep their till slip as proof of purchase of all Participating Products as this will be required document for verification steps in clause 7 below.
      12. 2.1.12   Each entry will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified.
      13. 2.1.13   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
    2. 2.2 Complete The Look (“Competition”):
      1. 2.2.1   This Competition will start on 24 September 2025 and end on 7 December 2025, both days inclusive (“Competition Period”).
      2. 2.2.2   To enter the Competition, you need to play the selected game during the Competition Period on the @OKLiquorSA Facebook page to stand a chance to win 1 (one) set of a heavy-duty apron and wooden spoon (“Competition Prize”) with an estimated aggregate value of R500 (five hundred rand), as described in Annexure “D”.
      3. 2.2.3   The pictures in Annexure “D” are for illustrative purposes only.
      4. 2.2.4   No entries outside of the Competition Period will be accepted, thus any entries before or after the Competition Period do not qualify.
      5. 2.2.5   Each entry will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified.
      6. 2.2.6   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
    3. 2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any potential participant of the Promotion or potential winner of the Competition at its sole discretion, under the following circumstances:
      1. 2.3.1  Have won a prize in a competition conducted by the Promoter or its affiliated companies during the last 3 (Three) months before the winners of this Competition is drawn;
      2. 2.3.2  Act in a manner contrary to the spirit of the Promotion or Competition, or if fraud or cheating is suspected, including but not limited to the manipulation of code or falsification of data.
      3. 2.3.3   Fail to provide the required supporting documentation upon request by the Promoter.
      4. 2.3.4   Submit verification documentation that does not correspond to the data associated with their OK Count On! Profile. Participants must use their own OK Count On! Card, and not of another person.
      5. 2.3.5   If the potential participant of the Promotion or potential winner of the Competition is deceased at the time of verification as stated in clause 7 below. In such a case, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternative eligible winner drawn in accordance with clause 7 below. No claims may be made by the deceased's estate, family, or representatives
    4. 2.4 No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

  3. 3. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions:
    1. 3.1   By participating in this Promotion and entering this Competition, all participants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
    2. 3.2   The Promoter reserves the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify or change these Terms and Conditions and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Promotion and Competition and any prizes or any aspect thereof without notice at any time for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever.
    3. 3.3   Neither the Promoter, its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
    4. 3.4   This Promotion and Competition will run for the Promotional Period and Competition Period only at Participating Stores in South Africa.

  4. 4. Eligibility:
    1. 4.1   This Promotion and Competition is only open to permanent residents and citizens of the Republic of South Africa of the age of 18 (eighteen) years and older, living in South Africa and in possession of a valid form of identification (Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit and proof of current address not older than 3 (three) months.
    2. 4.2   All participants must be a natural person. Legal entities cannot participate in this Promotion and Competition, and no prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities.
    3. 4.3   To participate in the Promotion, all participants must be an OK Count On! Loyalty Card Holder.
    4. 4.4   Any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be disqualified from receiving a prize.

  5. 5. Terms relating to Prize/s:
    1. 5.1   Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise.
    2. 5.2   In the event that the Prizes are not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure any prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
    3. 5.3   The Promoter will not be held liable for any additional expenses incurred outside of the scope of this Promotion or Competition.
    4. 5.4   Prize visuals on any competition and/or promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only.
    5. 5.5   Participants understand and agree that they stand a chance to win a prize, but successful and valid entry into the Competition and participation in the Promotion does not guarantee that they will receive or win a prize.
    6. 5.6   Each winner will only be entitled to 1 (One) Prize during the Competition Period.
    7. 5.7   The Promoter shall not award a Prize to a winner if it is unlawful to supply such Prize to the winner. In such instances, the winner shall immediately forfeit the Prize and be disqualified.
    8. 5.8   The winner/s will not be entitled to payment, credit or otherwise in the event that they do not receive or utilise the prize to the fullest extent possible. Any item or value unused will be deemed waived by the winner/s.

    2. 6.2   Potential winners will be required to undergo a verification process. The verification entails proof of eligibility, valid ID and Passport, proof of residential address, before they will be declared official winners of the Competition and /or eligible participant in the Promotion. The collection of verification documents will be securely handled and in accordance with POPIA requirements.
    3. 6.3   The potential winners of the Competition will be notified via their social media profile used to enter the Competition, within 2 (Two) working days after their names have been drawn.
    4. 6.4   Should there be no successful contact with the selected potential winner/s over the 2 (Two) working day period, the Promoter reserves the right to proceed and select new backup potential winner/s.
    5. 6.5   Winners of the Competition will be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five) working days after successful contact with the winner, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity form (“Declaration”), valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit or proof of current address, not older than 3 (three) months and a copy of their Count On! Card, only applicable to Loyalty Card Holders, to claim their Prize.
    6. 6.6   Participants in the Promotion might be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five) working days after successful contact with the participant, copy of their till slip will be required for SMS or USSD entries, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity form (“Declaration”), valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit or proof of current address, not older than 3 (three) months and a copy of their Count On! Card to claim their Promotional Prize.
    7. 6.7   The Promoter’s decision in this Competition and Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  7. 7. Delivery of Prizes:
    1. 7.1   For the Promotion: the participants can collect Your Potjie Set from any Participating Store 1 when the Sticker booklet is presented upon the purchase of Your Potjie Set Subject to the availability of Your Potjie Set at the chosen store.
    2. 7.2   For the Competition: The Competition Prize will be delivered by the Promoter to any OK Liquor Store chosen by the winner/s from where the winner/s will need to collect the Competition Prize. Upon collection, the winner/s will need to present valid form of identification before the Competition Prize can be handed over to the winner/s by the chosen store.
    3. 7.3   Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner/s immediately.

  8. 8. Promotional Material and Marketing Activities:
    1. 8.1   Winners waive their moral rights and grant the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their Competition and Promotion entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner/s immediately.
