OK Liquor RSA - Stir Up Big Savings Promotion and Competition

  1. 1. Promoter:
    The promoter is OK Franchise, a division of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Limited, Registration Number: 1929/001817/07 (hereinafter the “Promoter”).

  2. 2. Promotion and Competition
    1. 2.1   2.1 Your Potjie Set (“Promotion”):
      1. 2.1.1   Purchase any participating product as listed in Annexure “A” (“Participating Products”) hereto from any of the selected OK Liquor stores as listed in Annexure “B” (“Participating Stores”) hereto in South Africa and swipe your OK Count On! Card during the Promotion Period and receive one promotional branded sticker (“Sticker”) per Participating Product purchased.
      2. 2.1.2   If you fill up a Sticker booklet with 10 (ten) Stickers, it will allow you to save up to 80% (“Promotional Prize”) when you purchase an OK Liquor exclusive potjie set (“Your Potjie Set”) as described in Annexure “C”, with a recipe book created with the recipes from Manne agter die Potte (the OK Liquor sponsored series on DStv’s VIA channel) with an estimated aggregate value of R 1 000 (one thousand rand).
      3. 2.1.3   The pictures in Annexure “C” are for illustrative purposes only.
      4. 2.1.4   A filled-up Sticker booklet is valid for the redemption of the Promotional Prize on the purchase of one Your Potjie Set only. Once this Sticker booklet is validly redeemed, the filled-up Sticker booklet must be handed to the cashier and cannot be used for further redemptions.
      5. 2.1.5   Lost or stolen Sticker booklets will not be replaced.
      6. 2.1.6   Sticker booklets that do not have the correct Stickers or were amended, defaced, photocopied or damaged will not be considered for the redemption of the Promotional Prize.
      7. 2.1.7   The collection of Stickers and the redemption of the Promotional Prize can only be done during 24 September 2025 to 7 December 2025, both days inclusive (“Promotional Period”). The collection of Stickers and redemption of the Promotional Prize will not be accepted outside of the Promotional Period.
      8. 2.1.8   Each Participating Store will only have 30 (thirty) Your Potjie Sets available for the Promotion.
      9. 2.1.9   An automated SMS will be sent only once and on the first purchase of any of the Participating Products during the Promotional Period, to confirm the first automatic entry. An SMS will not be sent again throughout the Promotional Period after the first entry.
      10. 2.1.10   Any purchases made before or after the Promotional Period do not qualify.
      11. 2.1.11   Participants must keep their till slip as proof of purchase of all Participating Products as this will be required document for verification steps in clause 7 below.
      12. 2.1.12   Each entry will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified.
      13. 2.1.13   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
    2. 2.2 Complete The Look (“Competition”):
      1. 2.2.1   This Competition will start on 24 September 2025 and end on 7 December 2025, both days inclusive (“Competition Period”).
      2. 2.2.2   To enter the Competition, you need to play the selected game during the Competition Period on the @OKLiquorSA Facebook page to stand a chance to win 1 (one) set of a heavy-duty apron and wooden spoon (“Competition Prize”) with an estimated aggregate value of R500 (five hundred rand), as described in Annexure “D”.
      3. 2.2.3   The pictures in Annexure “D” are for illustrative purposes only.
      4. 2.2.4   No entries outside of the Competition Period will be accepted, thus any entries before or after the Competition Period do not qualify.
      5. 2.2.5   Each entry will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified.
      6. 2.2.6   Neither the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
    3. 2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any potential participant of the Promotion or potential winner of the Competition at its sole discretion, under the following circumstances:
      1. 2.3.1  Have won a prize in a competition conducted by the Promoter or its affiliated companies during the last 3 (Three) months before the winners of this Competition is drawn;
      2. 2.3.2  Act in a manner contrary to the spirit of the Promotion or Competition, or if fraud or cheating is suspected, including but not limited to the manipulation of code or falsification of data.
      3. 2.3.3   Fail to provide the required supporting documentation upon request by the Promoter.
      4. 2.3.4   Submit verification documentation that does not correspond to the data associated with their OK Count On! Profile. Participants must use their own OK Count On! Card, and not of another person.
      5. 2.3.5   If the potential participant of the Promotion or potential winner of the Competition is deceased at the time of verification as stated in clause 7 below. In such a case, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternative eligible winner drawn in accordance with clause 7 below. No claims may be made by the deceased's estate, family, or representatives
    4. 2.4 No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
    5. 2.5 The Terms and Conditions with Participating Products and Participating Stores will also be available on www.okfoods.co.za.

  3. 3. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions:
    1. 3.1   By participating in this Promotion and entering this Competition, all participants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
    2. 3.2   The Promoter reserves the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify or change these Terms and Conditions and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Promotion and Competition and any prizes or any aspect thereof without notice at any time for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever.
    3. 3.3   Neither the Promoter, its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
    4. 3.4   This Promotion and Competition will run for the Promotional Period and Competition Period only at Participating Stores in South Africa.
    5. 3.5   All personal information of the participants will be processed by the Promoter in accordance with the Shoprite Group Data Privacy Statement found at: https://www.shopriteholdings.co.za/content/dam/shp/docs/shp-data-privacy.pdf

  4. 4. Eligibility:
    1. 4.1   This Promotion and Competition is only open to permanent residents and citizens of the Republic of South Africa of the age of 18 (eighteen) years and older, living in South Africa and in possession of a valid form of identification (Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit and proof of current address not older than 3 (three) months.
    2. 4.2   All participants must be a natural person. Legal entities cannot participate in this Promotion and Competition, and no prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities.
    3. 4.3   To participate in the Promotion, all participants must be an OK Count On! Loyalty Card Holder.
    4. 4.4   Any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be disqualified from receiving a prize.

  5. 5. Terms relating to Prize/s:
    1. 5.1   Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise.
    2. 5.2   In the event that the Prizes are not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure any prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
    3. 5.3   The Promoter will not be held liable for any additional expenses incurred outside of the scope of this Promotion or Competition.
    4. 5.4   Prize visuals on any competition and/or promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only.
    5. 5.5   Participants understand and agree that they stand a chance to win a prize, but successful and valid entry into the Competition and participation in the Promotion does not guarantee that they will receive or win a prize.
    6. 5.6   Each winner will only be entitled to 1 (One) Prize during the Competition Period.
    7. 5.7   The Promoter shall not award a Prize to a winner if it is unlawful to supply such Prize to the winner. In such instances, the winner shall immediately forfeit the Prize and be disqualified.
    8. 5.8   The winner/s will not be entitled to payment, credit or otherwise in the event that they do not receive or utilise the prize to the fullest extent possible. Any item or value unused will be deemed waived by the winner/s.
    9. 5.9   The details of the prize will be entirely at the Promoter’s discretion – the winner/s will not be entitled to choose their prize.
    10. 5.10   Prize specifications are subject to change, pending stock availability from the manufacturer.
    11. 5.11   Once a winner has received the Prize, the Promoters shall not be liable and shall not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect or manufacturing faults or defects, or damage or loss of the Prize.
    12. 5.12   The judge's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  6. 6. Selection of the Winner/s for the Competition:
    1. 6.1   10 (ten) potential winners for the Competition Prize will be chosen each week during the Competition Period through a random draw conducted by the Promoter’s independent representative in the presence of an independent auditor to select prize winners for the Competition Prize. These draws will take place on the following dates:
      1. 6.1.1   Wednesday, 1 October 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      2. 6.1.2   Wednesday, 08 October 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      3. 6.1.3   Wednesday, 15 October 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      4. 6.1.4   Wednesday, 22 October 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      5. 6.1.5   Wednesday, 29 October 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      6. 6.1.6   Wednesday, 5 November 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      7. 6.1.7   Wednesday, 12 November 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      8. 6.1.8   Wednesday, 19 November 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      9. 6.1.9   Wednesday, 26 November 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      10. 6.1.10   Wednesday, 3 December 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
      11. 6.1.11   Wednesday, 7 December 2025 – (10 winners, one Competition Prize per winner)
    2. 6.2   Potential winners will be required to undergo a verification process. The verification entails proof of eligibility, valid ID and Passport, proof of residential address, before they will be declared official winners of the Competition and /or eligible participant in the Promotion. The collection of verification documents will be securely handled and in accordance with POPIA requirements.
    3. 6.3   The potential winners of the Competition will be notified via their social media profile used to enter the Competition, within 2 (Two) working days after their names have been drawn.
    4. 6.4   Should there be no successful contact with the selected potential winner/s over the 2 (Two) working day period, the Promoter reserves the right to proceed and select new backup potential winner/s.
    5. 6.5   Winners of the Competition will be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five) working days after successful contact with the winner, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity form (“Declaration”), valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit or proof of current address, not older than 3 (three) months and a copy of their Count On! Card, only applicable to Loyalty Card Holders, to claim their Prize.
    6. 6.6   Participants in the Promotion might be required to sign and return to the Promoters, within 5 (five) working days after successful contact with the participant, copy of their till slip will be required for SMS or USSD entries, a Prize Acknowledgement and Indemnity form (“Declaration”), valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport), a lawful residency permit or proof of current address, not older than 3 (three) months and a copy of their Count On! Card to claim their Promotional Prize.
    7. 6.7   The Promoter’s decision in this Competition and Promotion will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  7. 7. Delivery of Prizes:
    1. 7.1   For the Promotion: the participants can collect Your Potjie Set from any Participating Store 1 when the Sticker booklet is presented upon the purchase of Your Potjie Set Subject to the availability of Your Potjie Set at the chosen store.
    2. 7.2   For the Competition: The Competition Prize will be delivered by the Promoter to any OK Liquor Store chosen by the winner/s from where the winner/s will need to collect the Competition Prize. Upon collection, the winner/s will need to present valid form of identification before the Competition Prize can be handed over to the winner/s by the chosen store.
    3. 7.3   Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner/s immediately.

  8. 8. Promotional Material and Marketing Activities:
    1. 8.1   Winners waive their moral rights and grant the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their Competition and Promotion entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner/s immediately.
    2. 8.2   indefinite period of time and in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the Competition or Promotion dispute or question such copyright and usage.
    3. 8.3   The Promoters may require the Winner to be identified, photographed, and published in printed media, social media, social digital media channels, or to appear on radio and/or television, without any payment or other remuneration when accepting the Prize. The Winner/s will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their image and to participate in the Promoters’ marketing materials in so far as it relates to the Competition.
    4. 8.4   Winners waive any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry.
    5. 8.5   This Competition and Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media channel and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to any social media channel.
    6. 8.6   current Consumer Protection Act (CPA) as well as the Protection of Personal Information Act which is collected from you and processed by the Promoter, is done solely with your consent. The personal information which you provide to us in completing this competition form will be processed purely for the purposes of this competition. We will not share your personal information further unless the Promoter so requires in terms of law or in terms of a legitimate business purpose.
