Feeling Fancy Flapjacks

Fancy making a flapjack that's just a touch different? These heart-shaped flapjacks are both easy to make and flipping lekker.

Ingredients

1 cup All purpose flour (or any)
1 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Bicarbonate soda
¼ tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. OK Housebrand sugar
  Pinch of Housebrand salt, optional
1
Medium/large egg
1 tsp. Vanilla essence
1 cup
Buttermilk (or any milk)
1 cup All purpose flour (or any)
1 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Bicarbonate soda
¼ tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. OK Housebrand sugar
  Pinch of Housebrand salt, optional

Medium/large egg
1 tsp. Vanilla essence
1 cup
Buttermilk (or any milk)

Method

1 Make a heart-shaped mould from cardboard and tin foil. Combine flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, sugar, egg, vanilla essence and buttermilk or milk in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth. Spray the pan and the inside of the mould with non-stick spray. Place the mould in the centre of the pan and pour the batter into it.
2 Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Carefully remove the mould and flip. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes. Garnish to taste. Voila!
