Fancy making a flapjack that's just a touch different? These heart-shaped flapjacks are both easy to make and flipping lekker.

½ tsp. | Bicarbonate soda |
¼ tsp. | Baking powder |
1 tsp. | OK Housebrand sugar |
Pinch of Housebrand salt, optional | |

1 tsp. | Vanilla essence |

Buttermilk (or any milk) |
1 cup | All purpose flour (or any) |
1 tsp. | Baking powder |
½ tsp. | Bicarbonate soda |

Buttermilk (or any milk) |
1 | Make a heart-shaped mould from cardboard and tin foil. Combine flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, sugar, egg, vanilla essence and buttermilk or milk in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth. Spray the pan and the inside of the mould with non-stick spray. Place the mould in the centre of the pan and pour the batter into it. |
2 | Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Carefully remove the mould and flip. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes. Garnish to taste. Voila! |
